Trust and Jealousy • hawk811 • 2mo ago

Is it strange for my girlfriend (24F) to have a male best friend (24M) who is attracted to her?

It seems they've been friends for quite a while, and this guy has a crush on my girlfriend. Although she’s aware of his feelings, she insists she doesn't have any romantic feelings for him, so she thinks there's no reason to be concerned. Nothing has ever happened between them, aside from him asking her out, which she turned down. Despite that, they've maintained their friendship. Do you think this situation is odd?

It's understandable to feel uneasy about your girlfriend's friendship with a guy who has a crush on her. Trust and communication are key in relationships. If she's reassured you of her feelings, it may be fine, but it's important to discuss your concerns openly to ensure both of you are comfortable. Trust your instincts.

It’s understandable to feel uneasy about your girlfriend’s friendship with a guy who has unreciprocated feelings for her. While trust is vital, it’s also important to communicate your concerns openly. If she values the friendship and reassures you of her commitment, it might not be inherently problematic—but ongoing dialogue is key.
