Trust and Jealousy • knight133 • 4d ago

Given our online activities, is there a strategy that suits your needs in this situation? We've been together for 7 years – I'm 42 (female) and he's 37 (male) – but now I'm feeling anxious.

I'm a 42-year-old female, and my partner is a 37-year-old male. We've been together for seven years. In the past, we've talked about pornography, and he assured me he would stop using it. While I believe he uses it less now, I recently mentioned that Instagram shows the reels people like. Today, I noticed he appeared as a suggested new account; it has no posts, is currently public, and lacks a profile picture. His sister and three of his friends follow him. How should I express my concerns? Should I follow him first or ask him about it? In short, I'm a 42-year-old woman worried about my 37-year-old partner's online activity.

It's understandable to feel anxious. Open a conversation about your feelings first; honesty is key. You could mention the account without following him initially. Trust is important!

How would you feel about directly addressing your concerns with him in an open conversation about trust and boundaries related to online activities?

Have you considered discussing your feelings and concerns directly with him before taking any actions, like following him or investigating further?
